Privacy
Last updated 30 October 2026. Finger Hero is a free rhythm game made by Zach Highley. This page says exactly what the game does with data, in plain words.
No account, no sign-in
There is nothing to sign up for. The game does not ask for your name, email or any identifier.
What stays on your device
- Settings, best scores, level and streak are kept in your browser's local storage on this device only. Clearing site data removes them.
- Songs you add from your files are stored in your browser's local database (IndexedDB) on this device so you can replay them. They are never uploaded anywhere; the note chart is built from the audio on your device.
What leaves your device
- YouTube songs play through YouTube's own embedded player, loaded from youtube-nocookie.com and youtube.com. When you play one, Google receives the usual requests an embedded video makes, under Google's privacy policy. Built-in tracks and your own files never contact YouTube.
- The game files themselves are served by Cloudflare, which sees the ordinary request logs any website produces (IP address, browser, time).
Ads
Finger Hero is free and is meant to be paid for by ads on the results screen, never during play. As of this update no ad network is wired in and no ad code loads. When ads go live this page will name the network (Google AdSense), what it may collect, and how to opt out of personalised ads, before the first ad is shown.
Analytics and tracking
None. No analytics script, no tracking pixel, no cookies set by the game.
Children
The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
